My first home party!!

For the las couple of days I have been a busy bee.

Yesterday I had my first home party and it was a blast! Not that I sold much, but considering that we are in August and most people are or have spent their money on holidays I did quite well.
Actually among other things I sold two of my favourite pieces: my only brass bracelet and a hammered necklace with Laura Sparling beads.

My very good friend Patri and her mum came a bit early to help me set the jewellery and my mum and my sister helped me getting the living room ready, and they did a great job as everything looked fantastic!
We decided to go for a green and floral look to take advantage of the many leaves we can get from the garden right now.

I had been reading a lot about doing home parties and although I implemented everything I've read (or at least tried) I was a bit nervous because first of all, I didn't know how many people were coming.

Some people who confirmed they were coming didn't turned out and people who didn't tell me did. Don't I live in a great country?
So there I was, preparing cake and drinks for an unknown number of guests without knowing if the amount of jewellery prepared was going to be enough and hoping for not too many or too few to show up.

We might not be the most organized banch of people but we know for sure how to have fun.
Most of my family came to see what I do and to show some support as also few friends did.
I had the chance not only to show my jewellery and to give out cards for them to promote my shop but to catch up with many of them.

Some of them came with their children, and well prepared as they brought their swimming custom with them. They had the best day ever!
At the end we ended up out in the garden chatting and laughing. It might not be the best marketing tool but it was great to see so many loved ones together and at the same time achieve the goals I had set for the party.

So yes, I call it a success.

Estos últimos días he estado liadísima.

I know what you mean Noemi. People show up or don't show up. How much food, jewelry etc. to prepare. Fortunately it always ends up being a lot of fun even if you do not sell very much.

Noemi, that is the most gorgeous set up and display for a home party that i've ever seen. You are so incredibly creative. I've had many home parties and it is always unclear how many people will show up. I think it's just normal. You are so talented and your jewelry is so beautiful. I'm sure everyone was very happy they came and got to spend time with you and see your beautiful creations. :)

I've been to "pampered chef" parties where there were only me and two others. I suppose the most successful parties are those that are well attended.
I must say, your product looks outstanding, and your presentation was excellent.
I wish you good luck with future endeavours.
